ITV's Survivor has failed to pick up new viewers since it dropped to just one main episode a week.
Last night's hour-long show, which aired at 9pm, pulled in a meagre 5.3m viewers.
This was just a quarter of those watching TV at the time.
ITV may blame the drop in viewers - which last week totalled 5.6m - on the good weather.
However, Survivor is not picking up the new audiences ITV had hoped for, despite being almost two-thirds through the series.
ITV's surprise of the night was Carol Vorderman's Better Homes, which was screened before Survivor at 8.30pm.
The home improvement show pulled in 6.5m viewers - an astonishing 33% audience share.
BBC1's new crime drama, Waking the Dead, continued to perform well.
Pitted against Survivor, it raked in 7.5m viewers and gained a 36% share.
Channel 4's highly publicised Football Stories on George Best at 9pm could also have dented Survivor's ratings. It was watched by 2.5m viewers - a 12% share of the audience.
Channel 4's Big Brother at 10pm attracted 4.5m viewers - a 26% audience share.
