The bedroom The Big Brother house has had a makeover, overseen by Colin Piggott, the man behind the more spartan look of last year's setting. Gone is the prison chic of 2000, Big Brother 2001 is an altogether cosier place to be, with wood panelling, rugs and an open fireplace.
The bathroom The main cause of arguments in most shared houses, the new look communal toilet and shower in the Big Brother house are likely to be no exception. Sure to cause even more rivalry among constestants is the en suite bathroom attached to only one of the bedrooms.
The garden The patio has been given wood decking, but the vegetable patch and chicken run remain. There is also a mystery pyramid-shaped structure which, according to speculation, could be an outside sauna.
Security After Jack Dee's midnight run, Big Brother is making sure there are no more escapes this year, with tighter security measures and the heavies on call.
